The Princely and Ducal House Ozrinić IN SERBIA

The Princely and Ducal House Ozrinić,, Osrinich” continues the knightly tradition of the tribe Ozrinić from Čevo ( Tschewo) in Montenegro, from legal descendants in Serbia. Ozrinić representatives have been for several centuries nobility. The Ozrinić tribe ruled a large part of the territory of the former Serbian state of Zeta, also known as Old Montenegro and later Montenegro. Dukes, Princes, Governors, and Captains from Ozrinić tribe left a deep mark during the reign of the Nemanjić, Balšić, Crnojević, and Petrović dynasties. The House of Ozrinić was established by the legal descendant under a final court decision, of this tribe created in the 13th century, by a direct line of succession through the Nikolić brotherhood, which is one of several famous families born of the Ozrinić tribe, and whose members left a deep and indelible mark in the history of Montenegro.
